Mini Masterpiece Contest

Children and adults are invited to participate in the Mini Masterpiece Contest! Register to receive a 3"x3" canvas, easel, paintbrush, and paints. Paint anything you love! When finished with your masterpiece, bring it back to the library for display.

Paintings must be at the library by Saturday, September 23rd at 2PM. Vote for your favorite paintings September 25-30th. Prizes will be announced the first week of October.

Registration begins Friday, September 1st.

Lego Events Returning September

The Lego Crew Challenge and Lego Saturday are returning in September. The next Lego Saturday will be September 2nd from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. No registration needed. For children ages 3-15.

Fall Preschool Story Time

Fall Preschool Story Time is almost here! Children ages 3-6 are invited to come and listen to great stories, make fun crafts, and enjoy delicious, nutritious snacks. They will meet new friends and experience the fun of listening to stories that are varied in their characters, cultures, and adventures.

 

Story Time will be Wednesdays at 10:30 AM or 1:30 PM from September 20th to November 15th. Please note there will not be a Story Time from October 15-21 due to Fall Break. Registration is available in the Children's Department. Spread the word among friends and family! We hope you will join us.

Garden Book Buddy Kit

Check out the latest addition to our Book Buddy Kits. The Garden Kit includes two books: DK Eyewitness Plant by David Burnie and What’s that Flower? A Beginner’s Guide to Wildflowers by Dudley Edmonson. Also included are a 100 piece Garden Gathering puzzle, a 56 piece Grow a Garden matching game, and Garden Wonders Aquapaints. The Aquapaint art sheets are reusable and only require water! Once finished, the painting will fade back to white to be reused again. The Garden Kit is available for checkout in the Children's Department.

New Items at the Milford Public Library

Milford Public Library is working with PBC Guru to create a virtual book club for patrons and others in the community.

to sign up for the book club. 

The book club will read one book every two to three months, so you'll have plenty of time for each book. 

There is no membership or subscription fees. Joining the book club is completely free!

As a MPL cardholder you will have access to download an eBook of each reading selection for free!

Non-library cardholders can join the book club at no cost but are responsible for obtaining a copy of the selected books via their preferred vendor or method.
